Who Am I?

I’ve always believed that being made in God’s image was a beautiful concept, but I don’t think I fully grasped what it meant. It isn’t just about reflecting certain “godly” behaviors; it’s about knowing that I am profoundly loved, cherished, and purposefully created. It’s an identity that shifts everything.

When I look at God’s character—His love, guidance, creativity, and desire for justice—I see these qualities as more than ideals. They’re innate traits He’s placed within each of us, waiting to be nurtured and expressed. It’s a gentle reminder that my identity doesn’t come from roles, successes, or even failures. It comes from Him.

But living in this truth is a journey, one that often requires me to leave behind things I used to believe about God, myself, and others. Lies that have kept me small or hidden in the shadows, doubts that have made me question my worth. Stepping out in His image means walking with a confidence that isn’t arrogance but a quiet, humble assurance rooted in Him.

I want to remind myself—and you—that we aren’t meant to be limited by worldly definitions. God’s nature isn’t confined, and neither is ours when we’re aligned with Him. This process is challenging, but it brings a clarity and peace that can’t be found anywhere else.

As I meditate on this reality-we are made in the image of God-it’s clear to me that each step closer to understanding God’s character brings me closer to understanding my true identity. I wanted to share this journey with you because I think many of us are seeking something real and lasting in our sense of self. Knowing God’s nature—really knowing it—changes everything.
