Not just life - abundance life

Reading, writing, and meditating on Proverbs has truly been a key for me.
I no longer read the Bible simply because it’s expected. Instead, I dive into Scripture to catch a glimpse of our Father’s heart—learning about who He is, His deep compassion for humanity, and His personal care for each of us. 💞

Living in a world where sin and death reign can sometimes be overwhelming.
Yet, nothing compares to the gratitude and love I feel knowing that Jesus loved us first and covers us with His grace. Even though sin may dominate the world, I find solace under the shadow of His love. What an amazing reality! 🙏❤️

Choosing the Umbrella of Jesus’ Love
I’d much rather be under the umbrella of what Jesus offers than follow the ways of the world. While many struggle with sin, the realization of being under Jesus’ reign brings hope. Life isn’t always sunshine, unicorns, and rainbows 🌦️🌈—but it does mean we have joy, hope, peace, and love in every moment. Even on tough days, simply fixing my eyes on Jesus fills me with hope. 😊

While reading Proverbs 21, I was reminded of many truths about living a righteous life and the consequences of aligning with evil. I approached today’s chapter with a personal question: What do I need to work on to improve my walk with God? 🚶‍♀️💡

S – Scripture

Proverbs 21:21-22 (TPT)

“The lovers of God who chase after righteousness will find all their dreams come true: an abundant life drenched with favor and a found that overflows with satisfaction. A warrior filled with wisdom ascends into the high place and releases regional breakthrough, bringing down the strongholds of the mighty.”

Proverbs 21:21-22 (NASB)

“He who pursues righteousness and loyalty finds life, righteousness, and honor. A wise man scales the city of the mighty and brings down the stronghold in which they trust.”

O – Observation 🔍
I love how the Passion Translation brings this verse to life—even if it differs a bit from traditional versions like the NASB. When I also checked the Amplified version, I discovered:

“He who earnestly sees after and craves righteousness, mercy, and loving-kindness will find life in addition to righteousness (uprightness and right standing with God) and honor.”

This made me reflect on how often we view “life” merely as the opposite of death. But Scripture invites us to see life as something far richer and more abundant. As the TPT beautifully states:

“…an abundant life drenched with favor and a found that overflows with satisfaction.” 🌟

We’re encouraged to see that life is not just about existence—it’s about a deep, meaningful relationship with Jesus, who declared, “I am the way, the truth, and the life.” Are we underestimating what life really is?

A – Application
Take a moment to study the word “life” in Scripture. Allow the Holy Spirit to reveal its true depth to you. Remember:

  • Life is a gift, not a curse. 🎁
  • We often treat life as something to endure rather than celebrate.
  • What might happen if we embraced life as the beautiful gift it truly is?

Let’s find out together!

P – Prayer 🙏

Holy Spirit, how I love your deep revelation—especially in the simple things, like the word “life.” I have been on a path to live the abundant life filled with joy, peace, and love that Jesus promised, yet I know there is so much more to understand about the fullness You desire for us. Thank You for peeling back the layers that allow me to understand more of my Father’s heart.

You are so rich, so full of everything that is pure and good. In moments when I’m simply doing what I committed to do, You reveal truths so deep that I feel I’ll be discovering and diving into these revelations for months to come.

Jesus, I thank You for Your life. Existing before the foundations of the world and as a part of the Godhead, You chose to meet us where we were. Not only did You meet us—you became one of us.
That love is so deep it blows my mind. By becoming one of us, You gave Your life to us. Even without the crucifixion, it would have been seen as the ultimate gift. You humbled Yourself to come down to Earth to live a human life, simply because of love! It's truly amazing.

Your death tore the veil and brought us reconciliation with the Father. Your life gives us life. You offered Your life so that we could be reconciled and made whole. It’s got to be more than just mere existence. May Your Spirit lead me to the truth of what life is. I’m excited to learn, to grow, and to LIVE.

I love You more than I love my own life. You are my everything. You are my hope! Thank You for giving us Your Spirit, the One who sustains and comforts me. May Your Spirit speak and reveal to each person who reads this the true meaning of life. May we learn and grow together in this revelation. In Your beautiful and amazing Name—Amen.
